Agreement Details
1. Scope of Work
The Ghostwriter agrees to provide professional writing and editorial services for the designated project. This scope includes initial research, narrative drafting, and the delivery of a complete manuscript or article based on the Author’s shared vision and materials.
2. Confidentiality
The Ghostwriter shall maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the Author’s identity and all proprietary project information. All discussions, drafts, and notes produced during the collaboration will remain private and will not be disclosed to any third party without written consent.
3. Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of the final payment, all rights, titles, and interests in the Work—including copyrights and worldwide publishing rights—shall be assigned irrevocably to the Author. The Ghostwriter waives all moral rights and claims to authorship attribution.
4. Payment Terms
Payments are structured as a 50% upfront retainer, 25% due at the submission of the primary draft, and the remaining 25% due upon delivery of the final editorial product. Late payments may result in a temporary suspension of editorial services.
5. Revisions
The Author is entitled to two full rounds of revisions based on provided feedback. Revisions must be requested within 14 days of receiving a draft. Significant changes to the project scope after the project start date will require a revised quote.
6. Termination
Either party may terminate the project given 14 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Author shall be liable for payment for all work performed by the Ghostwriter up to the effective termination date.
7. Governing Law
This sample agreement and all subsequent contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Ghostwriter’s primary jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
8. Electronic Transmission
Not responsible for the safety or security of electronically transmitted documents.
